The residual heat from the hot sand will pop the rice grain into almost 5-6 times of its original size and making it very crispy.

While the rice was popping, it has to be stirred very quickly so that none of the popped grains will be over-burned. The whole process will take only 12-15 seconds.


The worker (the same guy who do the stirring) will quickly scope all those popped rice into the filter and eliminate those that not so completely popped from the process. This pop rice will keep in gunny sack for cooling down & waiting for next process.
