A Virtual Tourist time capsule

Well, I really like the idea of Virtual Tourist, but I'm not sure how much use it gets these days. It'd be nice to see it combined with CouchSurfing a bit.

I'll try to find the time to put a few useful tips and stories up here soon.

I'm an aid worker, and that takes me to some pretty off-the-beaten-track places, where I've met some amazing people.

We started in Kosova, and have worked extensively there and in Albania, Ukraine (around Chernobyl), and most recently in Gaza.

I've also taken part in the Mongol Rally (to Mongolia or bust, basically, in an unwise choice of vehicle), and some other charity rallies around Europe. I've even driven a Land Rover from Sussex to the Sahara to scatter some ashes.

So yeah, some tips, pics, and tales to come.
