Keep traveling and respect the environment, everything and everyone you may find on your way. Be patient. Try to improve our beautiful planet and be happy to enjoy your experiences.

Traveling is a state of mind. One doesn't have to go half around the globe to be a traveler. Peeking behind the corner can be a rewarding experience and a good start.
Travelers are those eager to discover, learn and understand the "outer" world. Many accomplish respect for differences, some would never have such pleasure.

When the sun sets over our wings, it's time to remember another day and dream about next wing to spread....

Ciao Ant & Deb - I saw the very bad news about the flooding!! How are you? I hope you both are safe and not too much affected in your daily lives!! Hugs!!!

Ciao Ingrid, thank you for your concern. We are safe and sound. Despite Torino has four rivers, of which the Po grew 7 meters above its normal level, the city only suffered minor damages. Most damage occurred in several towns across Piemonte and western Liguria as some areas received, in 24 hours, half of the annual average precipitations. Only one person is reported missing so far and the good news is that it stopped raining.<br/>After the floods of 1994, consistent cleaning/reconditioning/prevention was applied to riverbeds and I believe this saved many lives. Time for rebuild. Ciao and hugs!

Thanks Mark! My resolution to climb Mangart had developed when seeing it daily for a year from Tarvisio during my Alpini service. That was well before the fall of the Iron Curtain and I felt I *had* to go up there one day :)
