1. How is VT Rank Determined? Your VT Rank is based solely on the ratings your tips, travel forum replies, and deals receive. We use a complex formula that rewards high quality tips and deals, in all categories, and across all locations. The best way to ensure high ratings is to post tips and deals that are thorough, helpful and accurate. 2. My VT Rank Changed. How Was It Calculated? VT Rank is based solely on ratings that your tips, travel forum replies, and deals receive. VT Ratings and Rankings places the highest value on the quality of each individual tip or deal. 3. Ok. How EXACTLY Is Rank Calculated? VT does not divulge the exact nature of the rating or ranking algorithms in order to discourage fraud. Rating patterns are analyzed and fraud behavior is red flagged. Members attempting to fraudulently affect ratings and rankings will have their ratings ignored, and if the attempted fraud persists, will have their memberships removed. 4. How Do I Get A Ranking? The best way to get a rank or to improve your rank is by simply sharing thorough, helpful, and accurate tips and deals.. 5. I'm New. Can I Move Up In Ranking Anyway? Yes! The quality of your tips, deals, and travel forum postings is more important than how long you have been a member. Also, anyone who has been a VT member for less than a year gets a Rookie Ranking 6. What Is a Rookie Rank? A Rookie Rank is given to members who joined VT less than a year ago. 'Rookie' is a term usually used in sports that refers to a new player who is in this first year of the league. VT Members can have both a Rookie Rank and an overall VT Rank. 7. Where Can I See A List of VT Ranked Members? Just click on Meet Members and then click Top Members. 8. Where Can I See My VT Rank? You can see your VT Rank on your homepage next to your picture and along with your info like name and hometown. If you don't see a VT Rank yet, that means you haven't gotten a rating yet. Just share some inside info about your travels and as folks rate your info you'll see your progress. |
