Your Account 

Your VirtualTourist Account is 100% free. As you probably already know, your account allows you to build pages, have a homepage, participate in VT Forums, and use VT email. You can change most of your account information by clicking the "Settings" link at the top of the VT page when you are logged in.

1. How Do I Join VT?
Joining VT is easy, fast and FREE. All you need to do is click Join For Free, pick a Membername, Password, and supply a valid Email address.

2. What's My Email Address?
When you join VT, you get a free email account that you can use to communicate with people in VT or anywhere else. Your email address is:
Yourmembername@vtmail.com

3. What's The Address of My Homepage?
You VirtualTourist Homepage is as follows:
http://members.virtualtourist.com/YOURMEMBERNAME

4. Can I Change My Membername?
Because your membername identifies you and is attached to so many different parts of your content like your postings, emails, and pages, you can NOT change your member name.

5. Can I Change My Password?
Yes. Simply click "Settings" near the top of the page when you are logged in. Then just enter a new password in the field labeled "your password."

Click save and your new password will be in effect.

6. Can I Have More Than One Account?
No. You may have only 1 account. Duplicate accounts will be deleted.

7. Can I Delete My Own Account?
No. If you wish to cancel your membership, simply write to us from your VirtualTourist email at the following address feedback@virtualtourist.com. PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR VT MEMBERNAME AND PASSWORD FOR VERIFICATION.

8. I Forgot My Password. What Can I Do?
When you log in, if you've forgotten your password, you'll see a link that says, "i've forgotten my password" Just click the link, provide the information we ask and we'll send your password to the external email that you have given us on file. The system is secure because you can only retrieve the password if it matches your Email address on file and you can only receive it at your Email account.
