The Madurai Meenakshi Amman temple may be considered as the apotheosises of Dravidian architecture. The 11 towers (‘gopurams’) with their intricate stucco work multi-coloured statues of gods, goddesses, animals and other mythological figures are a masterpiece.

This is the first video I see, starting to make plans for India. It will be hard to decide what to see, and important not to be sad about all the places we missed (will miss).
Hi Anil,
we plan to travel to India for about a month, probably in February. It will be our first visit, and after we get advice we'll decide if we go to Kerala or Rajastan. Then I'll start to ask specific questions, in the relevant forums.
First I must get the OK of my insurance to travel after less than half a year, after I broke my leg two months ago - the day before our trip to Austria.
I've been told that nobody goes to India only once, so it's time to start.

Welcome to India! Feb. is a great month for South India as well as for Rajasthan as both places are unbearably hot during the summers (mid-Mar-mid-Oct).
So sorry to hear about your mishap. Hope your leg has healed properly. Kerala has authentic ayervedic massages that may soothe your leg.
