On September 22, 2012, the rehearsal launchings of Oryusei fireworks nicknamed as Bamboo Rockets were carried out. The body of the fireworks used for tryouts are only half in size of those used for the Festival on October 20. Only Okabe residents and some historical buffs enjoyed the tryouts.
