Ulu Temburong National Park is a couple of hours by boat from Bandar Seri Begawan to Bangor. Temburong is cut off from the western part of Brunei, so you either travel by boat or drive through Malaysia. From there we took a 1/2 hour ride by mini-bus which got us to the point where we transfered to long boats for a 45 boat ride to the park.
Once in the park (and 1226 stairs later), we got the 60 metre to 60 metre high scaffolds that supported the canopy walk. Touch climb in the heat, but we got a great view of the jungle from there.
Some scenes from Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. The main Mosques, the Regalia Museum, the Kampong Ayer - the large water village, the main market and the water taxi stand taking people from the mainland to the Kampong Ayer.
Jerudong beach is the take-off point for fishermen. Fresh daily catches are sold at Jerudong market located right next to the beach. No tourists facilities at present, however those interested to go offshore fishing can negotiate a ride with one of the fishing boats... A seafood restaurant would be ideal for the fresh catch of the daysssss........
