Vietnam's traffic is, well, adventurous. When I lived there from 2004 to 2005 it took me quite some time to get used to it, but eventually I was brave enough to ride a motorbike myself and started cruising the streets of this exciting city. Here's a video that shows you how the traffic looks like from a motorcyclist's perspective. (Credits to Blaise who drove while I was filming!)
Waiting around for the traffic can clear up and I can cross the streets. Traffic comes in all direction, left to right, right to left and then reverse. People go the wrong way and go backwards, but who is keeping track. funny thing is I never saw a policeman directing traffic either.
This is a video my dad made that shows his and other people's pictures of 1969 Saigon and even features Armed Forces Vietnam Broadcasts as the background music. This should bring back a lot of memories for Vietnam vets.
