Friday, 10 April 2009: While visiting friends in Almere Haven, I find an opportunity to return to the bus stop at De Meenten. In a video from last year I had documented this spot and had a lot of feedback regarding the warning lights at the bike path crossing on the bus line.
In this video I capture the lights as they go into working mode. Flashing lights and clanging bells alert bike and pedestrian traffic to the approaching Connexxion buses. You'll see the busses as they stop and take on passengers at de Meenten.
This footage was recorded on Thursday, March 13 and Friday March 14, 2008, while visiting friends in Almere-haven, Netherlands. In this video you'll meet Els' cats, the black cat is Kanu and the gray cat is Finidi.
You'll also see the kitchen and dining area at Els' house as well as the living room area all on the ground floor.
This footage was recorded on Thursday, March 13, 2008, while visiting friends in Almere-haven, Netherlands. In this video you'll meet Klaas, an employee of the bus transit system which provides service for Almere and the surrounding area including Amsterdam.
Klaas extolls the benefits of using the bus to travel around the area and mentions a few attractions in Amsterdam while warning that a visit to the Red Light District might result in a surprise not bargained for.
This footage was recorded on Friday, March 14, 2008, while visiting friends in Almere-haven, Netherlands. In this video you'll see a variety of sights as we walk around the immediate area near Oevergriend including the exterior of Els' house, some of the light traffic of cars and bikes, the C1000 grocery store, and the bus stop at De Meenten as the number 1 Connexxion bus arrives from Almere Centrum.
Almere-haven is the first community built in this area after the land was reclaimed from the sea less than 30 years ago. Find out more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Almere_H...
While you can see that it's a beautiful day, there was still a steady breeze blowing most of the time and the sound of the wind can be heard in the microphone of the camera.
