This was a weekend adventure trip with my colleagues and this activity was like the starters to it all. After this all my fear was just thrown out and even Giant Swing, Bungee and Cliff jumping seemed a cake walk.
It totally rocked and paved way to a perfect adventure outing
Elephants are one of the main attractions at Periyar National Park. Sabrina, our daugther could not miss her favorite adventure in our trips. Elephant ride! We opted for the Elephant Junction located in Murikkady (30 minutes drive from the Spice Village). It is a very busy place so I suggest you book at least one day in advanced, unless you don’t mind waiting 2 – 3 hours. There are many activities you can do with the Elephants from riding to washing with the elephants. The views are stunning! It is a journey through spice gardens, hills draped in lush greenery and washed in fresh spice scented air of Cardamom, coffee and pepper. I highly recommend at least one hour ride to experience the panorama of the hills. The staff is very helpful they are willing to take pictures for you and even film you.

Devotees after reaching Palani stay in palani town and shave their head and take bath and on other day morning they come to hill top for Murugan Darshan/ Glimpse of god. They chant "HARO HARA" OR "VETRIVEL MURUGANKU HARO HARA" They walk to temple for get blessing from god to get their wish full filled and for some their wish might have got full filled and now they are coming to god to thank them. Nice to see these peoples devotion.
2011 was a wonderful year to me as well as my friends, because we spent a lot of memorable time with each other. While completing our P.G Tourism from Sri Venkateswara College we had lots of fun. Best part of this academic year was our trip to Pachmarhi.
