The video was taken in March 2011 during my visit to the city of Agadir in Morocco. It pans from the sea to the beach to the restaurants, residences and hotels that are lined up along the beach to cater for the crowds that gather there as the days get hotter. In the background is the hill with a fortified Kasbah that gave the town its name. Agadir in the Berber language means a fortified town. Written On the hill in white is the slogan: "God Country King" which lists three levels of what the Moroccans value most as a nation.
The marina complex is a combination of new residencies, shops and a marina for boats. This is situated within easy access to the beach and close to restaurants, hotels and shops. Close by is the port where one may see boat building still carried out in the traditional way, by hand. Also one can see the days catch coming in and visit the fish market to see the catches being sold or stop at one of the restaurants for tasty lunch.
A candid view of the beach showing the Atlantic Ocean and of the old Kasbah. The beach is reputed to be 11Km long although the best part is just beyond the point at which the solitary police man warns you can go no further, this is where the Royal Palace is situated. The Kasbah has panoramic views of the city and of the port and ocean.
