Another crazy day on the Galle Road planxty Date Added: Mar 20, 2015

This is a clip of a portion of a rickshaw ride I took from Wellawatta into the centre of Colombo one afternoon. I realise the sound quality is poor but I was using a little compact camera. I have posted this merely to give anyone who has not been to South or Southeast Asia a sense of what things are like on the roads there.

Tuk tuk ride in Colombo (1) SWFC_Fan Date Added: Apr 5, 2014

This short video was taken during our visit to Colombo in March 2014.

It shows part of our tuk tuk ride from outside our hotel, Casa Colombo, to the shopping district of Pettah.

This part of the ride saw us start off on busy Galle Road, before turning off onto the coastal road, following the train tracks and passing Bambalapitiya railway station.

This short video was taken on board a local train from Mount Lavinia to Colombo Fort during our visit to Sri Lanka in March 2014.

The 25 minute train ride cost a mere 15 Rupees (£0.07) per person and afforded us some wonderful coastal views from the open doorways.
