Fin garden and bath is known to most Iranians as the place where Mirza Taqi-Khan Amir Kabir, the Prime Minister of Naaser-Al- Deen Shah Ghajar from Ghajar dynasty, was murdered. Amir kabir is still loved by many Iranians. He was the prime minister of Iran for almost 3 years and then was dissmissed and sent to Fin where he was killed following the Shah's order.

The tile work on the ceiling of the main building. The collors are in harmony with the khaki color of the earth in the area, not those bright turquoise and yellow collors I'm used to see in Shiraz tile works.

When you look at the building from the main entrance it dosen't look any different from other mosques, but as you take one of the passeges to the main yard, you'll unexpectedly face a nice garden, with a pool and orange trees in it. This type of architecture can be seen in many old buildings of the area. It is called "gowdal-baghche" (gowdal: hole, puddle; baghche: garden). Before the costruction starts, they dig a big square hole (gowdal) in the ground. and then they construct the building around it. This it the first floor, and the second floor is then at the ground level. The garden is in the middle of this "gowdal". This desighn keeps the building cool, and makes it somehow earthquake resistant.
