The Ein Avdat nature preserve for me is one of the most fascinating spots in Israel and I visit it again and again. The first amazing thing is the abundance of greenery and wildlife to be found here in the middle of an arid desert because of the Ein Avdat spring that feeds the area with water.
Secondly is the docility of the wild animals, seemingly oblivious to us humans passing through their terrain.
