"Unique and Unusual .....maybe the "Norm" for KW" Key West Travelogue by SONG

Barb and I saw many interesting things and people while in Key West.
I shall post some of those pictures.

Many of the clubs/bars are wide open, basically with the walls either pushed aside or up like a blind. You can see into these bars without ever leaving the sidewalk. We saw a couple of interesting outfits while strolling around one night. Like these heels? HE was wearing them.

Aqua barriers along US 1

Starting just south of Key Largo, we saw miles and miles of these unusual and beautiful aqua barriers. It is surely something unique to The Keys

Key West has such interesting architecture and colors. Many of the roofs were of tin and it seemed like every house had a white wood picket fence around it. Of course the pastel colors were abloom everywhere. Even saw homes where the flower pots and the bicycle out front matched the house color. Bicycles are, according to a friend who lives there, "the Mercedes of Key West". Bicycles and motorscooters zip around on all the streets. The tourist trolley cars also carry people around to see all the various interesting sites. Harry Truman set up his vacation White House in Key West and you can tour the house, as it has recently been restored to showcase the decor of the 50's. He and Bess were quite popular there and consequently, you see many things named after them. There is a Truman Annex at one of the three Navy bases in KW.

People ask me IF we have alligators in Florida.

I answer....."Florida, water, alligators"... (smile)
