"Old town impressions Großenhain" Großenhain Travelogue by german_eagle

Großenhain Travel Guide: 13 reviews and 65 photos

One of the few Renaissance townhouses that survived the big fires - Neumarkt 11, erected 1583. A bit over-restored IMO.

Lots of cute shops in the old town - this one in a townhouse from 1747.

I saw many of signs of that kind all over the town, old-fashioned advertising much nicer than most of what is created nowadays.

Main shopping street Frauenmarkt, just off the Market square, a beautiful ensemble of townhouses. Cafe Pietzsch left.

Meißner Straße, view back toward Marienkirche. See the gryphon on the house right?

Sign at a house that's a bakery now.

Another house sign.

Baroque townhouse facade at the Market square.
