Located at the base of the Gangapurna Himal and just across the river from Manang, this lake is a beautiful, frozen gem. Though visible from Manang, it is well worth the 15 minute walk to take it in firsthand.
Standing tall just West of the village of Manang, the Gangapurna Himal is quite a spectacle. From the glacial lake just outside of town to the top of this grand colossal monument one can lose their sense of time as this mountain captivates and beckons you in.
Unlike any village I have ever visited. Simple, quiet, and comfy environment filled with a calm, content, hospitable community.
A large, hairy, intriguing character, this yak is. Few other places on earth can claim these beautiful beasts as their local inhabitants.
