"A & P Show: New-born lambs" Christchurch Travelogue by Kimi_the_Bear

I never miss to go to the paddock where lambs are born in front of your eyes. The ones you see on this photo are a few hours old and already licked clean by their mothers.

Sometimes I try to hide a little to not scare the lambs. But they do not care a lot. The ewes are used to humans and cannot be bothered by nosy people and bears.

The lambs either take a sunbath or drink some milk from mum's factory.

Of course, I have to study this closely ;-))

That I have to show you without me being in the picture. A lamb just born, still orange-yellow. You see, this is a bloody business. A little later a second lamb came out, and then the afterbirth and all this stuff fell off and the ewe looked a bit cleaner again.

The little lambed called Baaaa-baaaa all the time. The mother started tolick the yellow stuff off his fleece, and soon he found the teets, so he was happy. Or she. I could not tell if it was a girl or boy lamb. But this does not matter. Cute is cute.
