This is one of the major squares of Budapest. Its iconic statue complex, the Millennium Memorial, was completed in 1900, the same year the square was named "Heroes' Square". It lies at the end of Andrássy Avenue.

Hősök tere is surrounded by two important buildings, Museum of Fine Arts on the left and Hall of Art on the right.

There are sculptures in the forming two identical semi-circular arcades. Here are some of the names of the famous Hungarian people whom the sculptures belong to.

Szent István, Hunyadi János, Imre Thököly, Ferenc Rákóczi, Lajos Kossuth.
