"From Annaberg to Buchholz in the Rain" Annaberg-Buchholz Travelogue by Russell_the_Wombat

Annaberg-Buchholz Travel Guide: 60 reviews and 389 photos

This was the wettest day of all. Nevertheless we decided to go for a walk and take some more photos.

First we explored the market square more thoroughly. The big yellowish building is the town hall.

In a side street we discovered another smaller church, callen Bergkirche because it was the church of the miners.

That lady on top of the fountain became wealthy and famous some centuries ago because she was the owner and boss of a lace-making and trading business.

Then we left Annaberg's old town and walked towards Buchholz.

What happened to these houses, everything looks crooked?

Annaberg's little theatre is at the end of the street above.

Then I hopped in the bag and decided to stay there because the rain was too hard. This walk was no fun. I only poked my nose out for a quick photo of the town hall.

And again for a photo with the church of Buchholz.

Then we took the bus back. We weren't too fond of Buchholz in these conditions.
