"Spas, Temples and Other Buildings" Karlovy Vary Travelogue by Russell_the_Wombat

The spa buildings have impressive architecture. This one is probably the largest. It has all those instalments that humans need for their spa treatments inside, and also a restaurant and a concert hall.

We sneaked in to see at least the hallway and staircase. From the corridor we clandestinely eavesdropped on the symphony orchestra's rehearsal in the hall. They were playing, what else, Dvorak.

After a short walk from the big spa house we arrived at the colonnade.

Palm trees on the promenade are supposed to provide a southern flair.

The colonnade is meant as a covered promenade walk. The humans walk here and sip their water from one of the three springs, while they watch each other and enjoy being watched.
Humans do strange things, don't they?

There are more of these colonnades. This one is designed in a different style but equally pretty.
