"Tasting the Waters" Karlovy Vary Travelogue by Russell_the_Wombat

Out in the open along the river walk there are about a dozen thermal springs. You buy one of those cups and take the water for free. Some of these springs are really hot, so don't hold your paws in.

**Sniff** Those spa waters might be healthy but they have a strange taste.

Wrong side, Russell! You drink from the beak on the other side of the cup.

A shady gallery allows promenading with your water cup under a roof in case of rain or summer heat.

Some of those springs are covered by pavillons that look like little temples.

Here is another. The architecture looks like lace but it is made from iron. This spring is located next to a fine park.

This is the biggest and strongest spring of them all. It is inside a modern hall. The natural pressure is strong enough to create a high fountain.

The glass walls of the hall allow the view of the townscape around it.

I have not counted how many different springs we tasted during the day but after so much healthy stuff...

... I wanted a more substantial drink.

Na zdraví!
