Sheffield Botanical Gardens in the Winter

Sheffield's Botanical Gardens are a pleasant place to spend an afternoon at any time of year.

In the Summer months, the green grass is full of sunbathing students and picnicing families.

In the Autumn months, the red and yellow leaves and the nut-burying squirrels make for plenty of photography opportunities.

Similarly, in the Spring months, the array of colourful flowers will also have you reaching for your camera.

In the Winter, when snow falls on Sheffield, the Botanical Gardens take on a whole different appearance. These photos were taken on one such snowy day in December 2010.
