No trip to Amboise should be complete without a trip up the street to Clos Luce where Leonardo da Vinci spent his last years. The chateau is interesting and the museum and grounds hold replicas of many of his inventions. It is informative and fun.
Walk up to Clos Luce from the chateau and pass troglodyte houses built right into the cliffs. Look for chimneys and satellite dishes.
Keep walking. It's not far now.

Look out the windows and then go down and enjoy.
