"Quebec City Aquarium" Quebec Travelogue by juniperjune

This past Sunday we decided to visit Quebec City's Aquarium. We liked the outside exhibits, but we were expecting a little more from the inside aquariums.

They have fish, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, and sea mammals. Outside you can see the famous polar bears, walruses, and seals. We got to see the Walrurs, they put on a show. My 2 year old loved that. You can see them from above as well as from below water level. You can look into the tank as they swim around. It seems that they love to put on a show for you at the glass! My son absolutely loved that!

Make sure you go on a day that is nice as there are many attractions outside. We went on a rainy day and they were just finishing up redoing the walkways. There are animal shows outside, a family picnic area, kids play park area.

The Aquarium du Quebec is open every day, even on public holidays, except December 25th.

September 8, 2009 to May 31, 2010: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
June 1 to September 6, 2010: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
