"Driving the Amalfi Coast" Amalfi Travelogue by babygrand

The scenery was just so beautiful. Pictures cannot really show the beauty of this area, but maybe this will give you a hint.

Can you imagine being able to live in a place like this. The sea is such a beautiul shade of blue/green, the lemon trees are all about, and the weather is so nice.

This little town is carved right into the cliffs at the side of the road. Our driver told us that it is beautifully decorated for Christmas.

There are little pull offs to enjoy the view, and at this one, there was a stall selling the local lemons, lemonade and limoncello. We didn't stop there, but we sure did enjoy the view.

You almost feel as if you're going to fall into the sea. Fortunately the stair rails and fencing were nice and sturdy.

This is the sight that greeted us once we reached the little lookoff. We could see in both directions, but this is only one view. It took our breath away. When we stood by the rails and took our pictures, the photos look like they've been doctored, or maybe we were standing in front of a painting. They just are too vibrant to seem real.

It was hard to believe the colours in the water. Everything was just so bright. We had the perfect day, and the road was closed, so while we were stopped, we had a chance to just walk up and down the road, looking at different views.

This was about the best shot to show just how the colours of the land, the sky and the background came together to give us so much WOW! This is not enhanced in any way....if anything, it is a poor representation of what we were privileged to enjoy.
