…I read somewhere that when you jump, you take away all inhibitions and show your true self. And even if that is not true, I still enjoy being eternally suspended in mid-air!

So, after a Rookie Year Aug 2008 - Aug 2009 on VT, I decided to jumpstart a collection of wonderful fun-loving VT friends jumping all around the world. I've been building these pages since August 3, 2009:

Once upon a time, on Valentine’s Day, a young man met a hauntingly beautiful maiden on an enchanted Pacific island. Having found true love, he thanked the island GODS who were so pleased they gave him a gift - the GIFT OF TRAVEL. He brought his bride to new places and after visiting Australia, the happy couple found themselves expecting a child…BUT THEN, tragedy struck at home in Manila (May 21, 2000*): a terrorist detonated a bomb in a mall where his pregnant wife was shopping! Fortunately his wife was unhurt, but miscarried a few days later…they named their lost child “Sydney”.

Saddened but still full of dreams, the young man decided to start anew at the other side of the ocean - in America. For years the couple prayed for a child every day, until one day they were blessed with boy and girl TWINS born exactly on Valentine’s Day...the same special day when they met years before!

The new father jumped for joy, and brought his family to wonderful places around the world, jumping up high during their travels to show how happy they are to be together. And in his heart the young father knew that with every jump they made, Baby Sydney jumped up with them in heaven….

*This tragic incident resulted in inspection of bags in Manila shopping malls today for security reasons

Jumping Phenomenon Hits Medical Convention
And Norman tells it best, “I just got back from Laughlin, Nevada where I was asked to give a talk at a convention of the Association of Philippine Practicing Physicians of Arizona – but not about my field of medicine but rather about my travels and how I started the jumping galleries on Virtual Tourist! So after all the scientific discussions, I gave my presentation and everybody had a blast looking at the pictures of Jumping VTers and learning the stories behind them”. And our JumpingNorman wants those pictures to keep coming in.
