Congratulations, too, your jumping fever has successfully spread around the VT Community....

We're in a somber mood here. Although our house was not badly hit by the recent typhoon Odong (US typhoon pharma), a lot of our towns & barangays near Laguna de Bay are under water (some neck-deep), and conservative estimates project normalcy to happen in 3 months yet.

Why that long? Laguna de Bay is heavily silted by the floodings from Metro Manila, Rizal, Batangas, Cavite, Quezon and Laguna, and natural waterways have been blocked by houses, flood debris and silt. Wala na madaanan ang tubig (water has nowhere to go).

People are getting hungry and sick; me nanganak na sa evacuation centers (somebody delivered a baby at the evacuation center); We've already given away so many clothes. We had wanted to donate more food pero nagkakaubusan na ng grocery items. Pati rescue trucks nagtirikan na.(we wanted to donate more, but need more grocery items; rescue trucks are stranded) Mabuti, the whole country was already declared in a state of calamity.

Hoarders of commodities and overpricing will be addressed by the authorities....Do pray for us. Prayers are really powerful. With so many prayer warrior brigades, lumihis ang mata ng bagyo and di na muna dinaanan uli ang Metro Manila and nearby provinces. (with many praying, the eye of the next storm missed Manila and nearby provinces)
