Waterfalls

by iandsmith - last update: Sep 30, 2009

Gloucester Falls

Lower part of Gloucester Falls
I have to admit I do like waterfalls; so, in a moment when I had nothing better to do, I thought I'd throw a few pictures in to share my passion with you.
Mathinna Falls, lower tier

Mathinna Falls

These are a seldom visited set of four falls in north east Tasmania

Rosewood River

Rosewood is a river near Dorrigo and, along its length it has some wonderful scenery and cascades, the majority of which has never been seen by man. It requires a sense of adventure to get down in the gorges and get dirty.
This particular fall is one that can be seen from just below the main trail.
O'Grady's Falls

Mount Wellington

Out the back of Hobart is the unmissable and dominant Mount Wellington. Most visitors drive, or ride, up the mountain and don't get to see another side of it.
This waterfall is about one third of the way up on a bush track and it's called O'Grady's.
Bridal Veil Falls

Bridal Veil Falls

This is the view you get if you walk down the cliff face at Govetts Leap at Blackheath.
The Grotto

The Grotto

These falls are on the cliff top walk that leads out from Fitzroy Falls. For mine, it's one of the great days walks in Australia.
Unnamed falls

Antarctic Beech Walk

This was taken on a walk at Gloucester Tops. The trail goes through hugely varying vegetation.
Spectacular drop

Dangars Falls

This is about 19 kms south of Armidale, one of many falls that cascade over the edge of the escarpment in the area.

Hi Ian, thanks for stopping by on the Bergstrasse. How are you? Enjoy the Italian sun. I only see fog when looking out of my window.

Encouraged I hope - Libya's a fantastic place but some things are changing FAST, so going sooner rather than later is to advised if you don't want to find Tripoli looking more like a North African Dubai..

Hi! Keep in touch and maybe we can catch up for a glass of wine when you come to Montefiascone next month!
