The perfect bolt-hole

Close relatives who live in Snowdonia in North Wales are always glad to have house-sitters for their isolated cottage when they are away from home for any length of time. We are a large family so there is along list of names on the rota but for nearly 30 years we too have had an occasional bolt-hole in the mountains -
The cosy hearth
Workplace with a view
The Peeping Pheasant
In the back garden
Stand-off between pheasant and frog.
A real bird
Only a piece of clay
