A few of my favorites

by Lhenne1 - last update: Apr 12, 2009

Somewhere between Philadelphia and Los Angeles

Oklahoma? Tennessee? Who knows?!
My brother and I drove cross-country in June of 2007. This picture was actually much more dangerous to take than you'd think. There was quite a bit of tetris-style maneuvering of stuff to make it possible to see out the back window.
Best hats ever!

Bastille Day 2008!

A friend of mine from France got a bunch of us together and we headed to San Fransisco for Bastille Day. He brought the hats and after a couple bottles of excellent French wine, we happily donned the appropriate (?) attire.
Stoli and Soco take a nap in my clutter

The kids.

I don't have children. I have cats. Don't get me wrong, I love kids...and dogs. Cats, however, allow me take off for a long weekend. Put out some extra food and water and you're good to go. That being said, they seem to be able to eat 3 days worth of food in our first 12 hours away. It's impressive, really.
Jellyfish!

Jellyfish

The jellyfish in the Monterey Bay Aquarium are amazing. I could sit there and watch them for hours. There is something very relaxing about the smooth movements they make through the water and the variety of colors and sizes created a beautiful exhibit.
Little Door.

The Little Door.

This is a little door. It is actually the door to my house. Seriously. I'm only 5'2", if that offers any perspective on the size of the door. I live in a 200 year old house that is full of "quirks". Nothing is level, and by nothing I mainly mean the ceiling and floors. But with quirkiness comes charm. I love the little door.
Bruins vs. Capitals

Woohoo! Go Bruins!

My Christmas present in 2008 was a pair of tickets to a Bruins - Capitals game. The Bruins lost (*tear). Eh, they still ended up first in east in regular season play.
Valley of the Rouge, OR

The tent.

I've seen enough sitcoms to know tents are impossible to put up without reading directions. We read the directions. Directions made no sense. Tent took an hour to put up.
Me, Joe, some fish

Me and Joe.

I just really like this one. Tampa Aquarium.

Hi Laura, thanks for your visit to my Frankfurt page. The Book Fair is monstrous, in a way, because it's so huge, but if you don't let it freak you out then it's one of the highlights of the year.
