Khardungla pass

by husain - last update: Sep 11, 2002

the highest....

The highest motorable road in the world, the highest temple in the world, the highest tea stall in the world.... The truth is, anything you build up at 18,300 feet (5600 meters) above sea level, has a good chance to qualify anyway:)
Here we are posing before one of the landmarks...

tea on top of the world!

The small army camp at the pass also runs a tea stall and offers free tea to visitors.
After sampling the 'sanitised' hotel version, this cup of tea was a welcome one, it never tasted quite so good, and never had i had a view like so while sipping my favourite drink...:)

My Goodness what a place!!! this page reminds me how great the earth is outside S'pore; amazing pics, you're so courageous flying all that stuff (not for me..), and that teahouse will be one of my objectives when I'll ever reach there
