Tampa's Super Bowl parties were awesome! | Red carpet TV interview @ NFL Players Party |
My Super Bowl party time.....Tampa 2009
I just returned home (Super Bowl Sunday) after a wild time in Tampa for several fun times prior to the actual game.
I was fortunate to stay on a friend's boat docked at Channelside at the Marriott Waterside Hotel (the NFL Headquarters) and I was less than 100 yards from the ESPN outdoor studio so I saw all the TV anchors (Chris Berman, Steve Young, etc...daily) and lots of athletes and celebs out and about along the waterfront walkway plus inside the lobby of the Marriott.
Plus, I made it to the media center where a buzz was always going on and VIP's and celebs in and out on a regular basis.
My big party this year was again the NFL Players Party (invite only) at the A La Carte Pavilion on Friday night and where I was interviewed by three TV stations on the red carpet! My "look" seems to attaction attention somehow--lol.
Later, it was back to the Marriott for some more partying with new-found friends before calling it a night (or early morning--3:30 AM --on Saturday.
Before noon it was off to the Starship Yacht on the waterfront on Channelside for the NFL's Smocks and Jocks brunch, jazz, and art display. It was awesome seeing old friends and making new ones. Rev. Jesse Jackson was there also as a guest of some NFL player(s).
Finally, it was out to Raymond James Stadium to the NFL Experience exhibit for the afternoon where I did another TV interview and enjoyed all the attraction has to offer--although it was VERY crowded this year. I did miss another NFL Players afternoon party but I was exhausted and opted to call it an early day so I'd have enough energy to party on Super Bowl Sunday.
Sunday was great with lots of friends with plenty of great food and drinks plus a pretty exciting last few minutes of the game!
Well, now that I am a little more rested, it's time for Tampa's annual Gasparilla Festival this weekend so look out Tampa---the TravelSlut is back on the streets (but I'll be easy to spot).... :-)
