Making the Rounds in Rome, March 2005

On the way to La Sistina

famous American actor Bill Pullman
We ran across Bill Pullman while filming his 6-episode made-for-TV miniseries, "Revelations." Yet he was nice enough to pose with little ol' me. I LOVED him in "Malice." In the background, to the left, you can see Castel Sant'angelo.

Curbside gas pump. March 2005

One would never see a gas pump, inches from the curb, in the U.S. Ma paesi che vai, usanzi che trovi!
original poem, far away from home

vaginal "streets" of Venice. March 2005

The streets of Venice, narrow and tight,
remind me of my honeymoon night!
OK, she sings while she plays...but can she cook?!

San Gemignano. March 2005

4pm, clear, 70F, on my 2d cup of cap, listening to heavenly harp music in the courtyard of the castle in SG. Suddenly I hear lofty lyrics; I'd assumed it was a recording. I turned to see this beautiful harpist accompanying herself. Can life get any sweeter? I immediately snapped up her CD, "Altissima Luce." Her name is Antonella Natangelo. Her home page is, naturally!, antonellanatangelo.it. Her email, as of 2005, anyway, was antonella@internettrain.it.
Pesky photographers mar Fountain experience

Fountain of Trevi. March 2005

Hey, I've lived all my life in New York City, a place teeming with people breaking your chops, but puh-leeeze! It took me over 60 seconds to reject each and every lousy photographer, at The Fountain, who blocked my path and demanded to take my picture. I had to cut my visit short and move on to the Spanish Steps. I found a more relaxed scene there. Young people were strumming guitars, and there wasn't 1 photog in sight.
