Not Trivial

When we got back, I was completely worn out, so Bob took my cane back to the cabin and I went directly to trivia,

which we did not win (again) but we were second. We had to name the state that had towns named Peru, Poland, China, Madrid and Mexico, and I correctly said that the state was Maine, I knew the country that Sky Lab hit was Australia, everyone knew that it was Mt. St. Helens that had been dormant for 123 years before 1980, and others on the team knew that the soft drink that got its name from a card game was 7UP. But we missed naming the sport that postpones the largest percentage of races (America's Cup)

Then we went to the afternoon tea, since we had not really had lunch, and they had little cucumber, or salmon or turkey sandwiches, and little biscuits with jam and clotted cream, and small pastries like eclairs. And tea of course.

We left the port about 1630

- the pilot boat picked up the pilot at 1645. I was out on deck taking pictures.

For dinner I had salmon and shrimp cakes, Solo Ayam (which is an Indonesian chicken soup with coconut, and what they called Smothered Onion and Gruyere Cheese Pie (aka quiche). Bob had Bay Scallops, Manhattan Clam Chowder and
Chicken Tempura.

I had a chocolate sponge cake for dessert.

After dinner I wrote email for awhile in the library.

Tomorrow we will be in Callao (the port for Lima)
