2007 VT Christmas Party

by asianbelle - last update: Dec 15, 2008

20071209 Dona Faustina Clubhouse

A bigger Christmas Party was held this time with more than 20 VTers joining the fun that lasted into the night.

Attendees were: Cyprian, Jon, Dan, Boyet, Monina, Yen, Juds, Joan, Lili, Aleli, Jane, Myrna, Yla, Claire, Presy, Aimees, Joye, Penn, Edwin, other guests. Stefanos and Angelin came around dinner time.

Pot Luck

Each member brought a dish or drink. Carlito (from Davao) airfreighted super sweet pomelos, while Ida and Barbs (from Switzerland) sent cake. Super thanks to you guys!

Virtual Attendees

Jane and Monina prepared the IDs of our VT friends who would have wanted to be part of the fun, but cannot be physically present.

Game Ka Na Ba?

Aimees, Penn and Jon prepared some parlor games to spice up the afternoon. Young couple Dan and Joan teamed up for the apple relay.

In another game, Jane's son Jiro walked away with more than P200 in the jack and poy game beating top seeded Claire. Of course, a lot of oldies were protesting the contest.

Art Class

Again, fresh from his Japan trip, Shintarojon (aka Gugu) demonstrated the Japanese art of wrapping gifts called Furushiki. This was a big hit among the ladies who tried (but failed) to follow Jon's lead.

Belly Dancing and Hawaiian Dance

Doc Aleli invited 2 ladies (or was it just one?) to perform for the group. The first one was a belly dance that earned much applause from the guys. And the second was a hawaiian number that some VT ladies, like Lara, gamely joined.

Exchange Gifts

One of the highlights of the party was the exchange gift. Each member brought a gift worth P300 and names were drawn from a box. To make it livelier, the giver is asked to candidly describe the receiver.

Kids VT Invasion

This time, more kids attended the party... start 'em young. Jane brought her son Jiro, Penn & Aimees their little miss Aengelle, and Boyet & Mayet their 3 kids, Bagi, Raya and Yasmin.
