What a great holiday! VERY hot - a freak heatwave of up around 40 degrees but still a lovely place to spend a fortnight.

It's worth getting a car or bike and heading-off into the hills towards the Troudos Mountains.
Note, some rough tracks are out-of-bounds to hire cars unless you have an off-roader.

Aphrodites Rock

Travel South East of Paphos and you'll find Aphrodite's Rock, or ‘Petra tou Romiou', the supposed birthplace of Aphrodite - the Greek Goddess of love and beauty.
This place is believed to be where the celebrated Goddess of Love and Beauty emerged from the sea foam. Legend has it that should one swim around the prominent rock three times, naked and under a full moon they will find true love. Although it is debatable whether this myth is true, the Rock and its setting provide a romantic location for lovers of all ages.
