Good friends we made along the way

by lynnehamman - last update: Feb 13, 2009

Kailash Hotel, Ellora Caves

Sunil & Surekha - Our Dear Friends
Sunil and Surehka - owners of Kailash hotel where we stayed while at Ellora Caves. They provided not only hospitality, but went out of their way to make us feel welcome. After spending 10 days with them, we felt like part of a family, and I thank them for that. We have remained friends and are seeing them again soon.
Shukla- Friend not Hostess

Delhi

Shukla - our hostess at Lutyens Guest House. Who nursed us through a bout of Flu, provided hot cups of Milo and Hotwater Bottles in our bed at night. Thank You Shukla - you are more than a friend-

Udaipur

Yash- Host, Friend and Raconteur. Who always has a bottle of Champagne ready to open when we arrive. See you soon
Yash and his great smile.
SATYEN & GORA

WEST BENGAL-(SUNDERBANS)

This is a photo of two great guys that we met in the Sunderbans. Many a laugh & much intelligent coversation ensued. I hope that we can maintain and cultivate the warm friendship we shared with them.
Satyen lives in Bangalore, and Gora is from Delhi.

Udaipur

Aditya - man for all seasons - travel-agent -shop-owner - friend. There is NOTHING that this wonderful man can't or won't do- So when in doubt - we just ask Aditya. He also does all my train & bus bookings for India, while I am still in Australia! Thank You my friend. See you soon
Aditya- "Can-do" man
Wonderful Memories from Ranthambore

Ranthambore

Claudia & Herve - A wonderful French couple we met at Ranthambore National Park.We maintain the friendship, and will meet up with them again in India soon.
Vous voir bientot en Inde, Claudia & Herve!

DELHI

This is Ruumi. Ruumi saved us in Delhi after we had missed an onward conecting train from Delhi to Haridwar, due to fog. We had to find a place to spend a night. Ruumi offered us the most perfect room at her beautiful home in Nizamuddin East. She is soft-spoken, witty and intelligent. We connected instantly, and I hope that we will always stay friends.

Thank you Lynne for visiting my Atlanta page. Hubby enjoyed visiting the area, but at times it was unnerving for him. He is very much a country boy! Have a lovely day and hope Boris is feeling better.

Thanks for your visit to the boats of Conflans, Lynne. It is nice sometimes to be far from the big city, and yes, me too, I dreamt of living on such a boat.
