What to Leave Behind

by pedroswift - last update: Oct 31, 2008

It arrived from the bush near our place 5 years ago. Took up residence. Now we can't even go away overnight without it going next door snivelling and complaining to our neighbour to ring the Royal Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to dob us in for neglect!
I'm afraid to tell people that chat sauvage also demands egg whisked in its morning milk ( pan perdu with bread that is actually lost) & an hour after its evening meal it comes to the door meowing for the cheese course!??

2008 Update Post script: During our 2 months vacation in 2008 our next door neighbors fed "cat". The little boy next door loved doing that so much he asked if he could "own" cat from now on. We agreed. He didn't think much of our name so he has given cat a proper name "Jess". My wife and I now get the cold shoulder when ever cat pops in to check out the old place. Because of the obvious disdain shown to us, we have renamed her ourselves. Now call it "Sonny Bill" - the turn cat. Sorry that is an Aussie joke. One of our high profile rugby league football players, Sonny Bill Williams has reneged on his contract mid-term to play rugby union football in France.... bigger news than the China Olympics.
