world floating by the window No, it's not a crooked oil painting, but the view of the canal which lies between Marnixkade and Nassaustrade in the the quiet residential area called the Jordaan, a 25 minute walk, east, to the Red Light District in Amsterdam. At the bottom of the frame, you see the reflection, in the water, of the trees at the top of the frame. I waved at the tourist boats going by, as if I had just hit the lottery. I did leave my heart in San Francisco, but I left my EYES in Amsterdam! [That's original material, you know] |
