Our neighbour's little boy Jack had his fifth Birthday Party today. His parents always have such fun parties for their children and this year's was awesome as they had ZOO 2 YOU come and bring a variety of animals for the children to see and enjoy. The young man brought reptiles (a bearded dragon, various lizards and one HUGE lizard), amphibians ( a big brown frog from South America and a small beautiful fluorescent green frog with orange eyes), a HUGE python, a tarantula, a big turtle - 9 years old - and a small turtle, a chinchilla, a kinkajou, other little critters that I can't think of at the moment and the biggest hit - Jack the Kangaroo. |  | KINKAJOU Kinkajous live in the Tropical Forests of Central and South America. They have a prehensile - gripping - tail that it uses much like another arm. Though it has features and traits like those of a primate, the Kinkajou is actually related to the raccoon.
Kinkajous are sometimes called Honey Bears because they raid bees' nests. They use their long, skinny tongue to slurp honey from a hive. Classed as an omnivore, they also eat fruit and small mammals.
Of all the little critters that Zoo2You brought, the adorable little Kinkajou was my favourite. |
