My cruise from Perm to Moscow in May 2008

Perm is where I started my cruise of 2200 km to Moscow.
It is an interesting town with some nice churches and a mosque and lots of old wooden houses, much older than 200 years.
Chaykovskiy / Tschaikowski - the town was named after the famous composer, who was born in the closeby village of Votkinsk
Votkinsk - the birthplace of the famous Russia Composer
Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky
Kazan / Kasan
Kazan / Kasan
is a city of 1,1 million inhabitants. You will find mosques there as well as russian orthodox churches !
Romanoff-cathedral in Nizhniy Novgorod

Romanoff-cathedral will be one of the highlights of your visit in Nizhny Novgorod
Gorodetz
Gorodez is a small town, about 30 km north-east of Nizny Novgorod and I came there on a fullday-tour organized by our cruiseship „M/S Furmanov“ during a cruise from Perm to Moscow.Gorodez is an old town and already a long time ago the inhabitants started a special kind of business: woodcarvings and other artful decorations of all things that were used for everyday life.

Suzdal
Suzdal is one of the most beautiful villages along the so-called "Golden Ring" :
Kalyazin
is a small town of 12.000 inhabitants and the belfry on a small island is all that was left back of a part of the village, when it was flooded in the 1940s.
