The most famous Polish star is Izabella Scorupco – an actress. She was born in Bialystok, Poland in 1970. When she was only one year old, her parents split up and Izabella came to live with her mother.
In 1978 the two moved to Bredäng in Stockholm, Sweden. She learned to speak Swedish and English during this time, in addition to her native Polish. She worked as a model and in 1989 she was discovered by the director Staffan Hildebrand and starred in the movie ‘Ingen kan älska som vi’. But her most famous film was James Bond film, ‘GoldenEye’. She played James Bond’s girlfriend, Natalya Simonova. She is the first Polish born and fourth Swedish actress to play a Bond girl.
She was married to an ice hockey player, Mariusz Czerkawski from December 1996 to 2000. They have one daughter together, Julia (born September 1997). On January 30, 2003 she married an American, Jeffrey Raymond. Together they have a young son, Jacob (born July 24, 2003).
Her role in ‘Vertical Limit’ is the one I like best.

The most famous Polish actor is Maciej Zakościelny. He was born in Stalowa Wola, Poland in 1980. He has a younger brother and sister and an older brother. He was learning in Drama School in Poland.
He was a model for a short time. He was also earning money by playing the violin in Paris metro. His most famous roles are Marek in ‘Kryminalni’, Jan in, ‘Dlaczego Nie!’ and Michał in ‘Tylko Mnie Kochaj’ (I liked this role best).

One of the most famous Polish singers is Doda (Dorota Rabczewska). She was born in 1984 in Ciechanów, Poland. From 5 March, 2005 she has been the second wife of a Polish football player, Radosław Majdan.
From 2000 she has been the singer in ‘Virgin’. In 2005 she won the The Public Prize in Sopot Festiwal with her song ‘Znak Pokoju’. In 2006 she won Telekamera in Music category. She also won some other competitions.
In November 2006 she declared that she would make her own album without ‘Virgin’.
I don’t realy like her but a lot of Poles love her and her music.

Mariusz Pudzianowski is the strongest man in the world. He was born on 7th February 1997 in Biała Rawska. When he was 11 years old, he started to train karate kyokushin and box. He's 186 centimetres tall and he weighs 132 kilograms. His biceps is 56 centimetres in circumference! His girlfriend's name is Sylwia. He's interested in motorbikes and rally cars. He likes playing rugby, swimming and jogging. When he was 16 years old he lifted 160 kilograms! His first start in StrongMan tournament was on the 1st March 1999. He was 4 times the best in Poland.
