Janet and Fernando visit Boston

Ain't they cute?
Janet (Gypsytravels) and her bf Fernando came up to Boston for a weekend visit. I met them downtown and we decided to hit the North End for a bite to eat and to explore.
But there's always times for photos!

Paul slept here

After lunch I showed them North Square and the Paul Revere House. Did we go in? Um....no. Have I ever in my over 20 years in Boston gone in? Um...no.

Two if by sea....

Then we took a quick tour of the Old North Church.

So bright

The first time I visited the interior of this church many years ago, I remember being a little surprised at how bright and white it's interior is.

Feeling boxed in?

I also remember the boxed in pews and how unique I found them to be. Do you think claustrophobics have a hard time with these?
"Let me out!"
Creeeeeepy........

'Dyin to get in!

We rounded a corner and found the Copp's Hill Burial Ground. I'll bet I've walked by it before but had never gone in.

Details, details....

I'm so glad we walked around this cemetary. The etching on the tombstones are so interesting and well preserved.
Angel of death?
Colorful and yummy!

And on to another landmark

Janet wanted a lobster claw so I took them over to Mike's Pastry. The lobster claws they sell are huge and just look at some of the marzipan! Who'dve thunk you could turn almond paste into watermelon wedges and fried egg sandwiches?

Cheers for the heads up on the Harbour Hotel, it looks the Dogs, bit more expensive than I would have liked, but its perfect

Ah, I thought she looked like Juma -- she has that sweet Rhodesian Ridgeback face. I'm glad she's better.
