Mt. QingCheng (China)

by LaurenAnita - last update: Jul 11, 2008

Mt. Qingcheng- Sichuan Province

Mt. Qingcheng
For nature lovers, there is no greater place to visit than Mt. Qingcheng. A taoist temple- Taoism is like Daoism; it is very focused on nature. Monks can be found along your hike up any of the paths, and there are temples carefully placed at the top of trails. There are also caves, but we did not have the time.

What you should bring-

There are shopping oppertunities briefly along the moutain, including people selling water. (Remember that you must bargain for everything-) The water is well worth it, as it is a breath-taking hike-- literally. Way worth it though.

You should bring good hiking shoes with you; do not go if you have great troubles walking up steep, narrow steps! It is a relatively easy climb besides the haggard steps.

Architecture

Besides the temples you will find, there is some architecture near the base of the climb, as shown.
