The V&A is reportedly one of South Africa's most visited destinations. Providing breathtaking views of Table Mountain, it is also a shopping paradise with the Victoria Wharf Shopping Area, Clock Tower Centre, Alfred Mall & Pierhead, Red Shed Craft Workshop and Waterfront Craft Market & Wellness Centre catering to the most discerning of customers.
On the entertainment front, the V&A provides restaurants, pubs, taverns, street entertainers, festivals and wine fairs. The Yacht Marina provides berthing facilities and services.

Taking the cable car to the top of Table Mountain is one of life's unforgettable experiences! We were fortunate enough to have a crystal-clear day. It goes without saying that the vistas from the summit are unbelievable. We even spotted a whale in the shallows off a beach at the base of the mountain!
Keep a lookout for resident dassies - Hyracoidea mammals and the closest living relative to the elephant.

Part of the West Coast National Park, Postberg explodes in riotous colour during August and September each year. Three picnic spots, with toilet and braai (BBQ) facilities, provides the base from which to explore the flora. Also be on the lookout for eland, red hartebeest, bontebok, Burchell's zebra, Cape mountain zebra, gemsbok, blue wildebeest and kudu.

Muizenberg is one of many beaches that makes Cape Town such a great destination for surfers, fishing enthusiasts, sunbathers, romantics and water sport fanatics in general.
The beach stretches 36km and with its modest waves is an excellent place for learner surfers to start their adventure.

Founded in 1922 as a whaling station, Langebaan today is the jewel of the West Coast. Part of the West Coast National Park, Langebaan hosts the Southern Right Whale during winter and early spring when they visit to calf in the lagoon.
Langebaan also boasts the biggest oyster shell deposits in the world and is South Africa's ornithological capital.

The Dutch East India Company placed these 12 pounder guns in Kloof Nek in 1782 to defend the settlement from an attack from Camps Bay Beach. The guns controlled the wagon track leading from Camps Bay to the Castle.

Boulders Beach is famous for its inquisitive locals - African penguins! These birds don't only keep to the beach. Don't be surpised to see them wander down the streets around the beach.
Be warned however, don't touch as they may be a bit grouchy!

Cape Town's signature landmark - Table Mountain - is home to the unique fynbos, which forms part of the Cape Floral Region world heritage areas. An estimated 2200 species of plants are found on the mountain alone, including many kinds of the regal Protea.
