HAUS KICKELHAIN

One of the smallest half-timbered, freestanding houses in Germany is the KICKELHAIN HOUSE, with a base of just 26 square metres and a living area of 52 square metres spread over three floors. It serves as part of the town museum (Stadtmuseum Mosbach) and is equipped with rustic furniture from the 18th and 19th century and shows the typical Oldenwald home decor style of that time.

THE PALM HOUSE - PALM'SCHE - 1610

The jewel among the many other half-timbered houses in Mosbach is the PALM'SCHE or PALM HOUSE on the Market Square. The Schragmuller Family, a wealthy family of Civil servants in the Palatine Government of Mosbach, had it constructed in 1610.
It was a beautiful building with its decorated facade of carved and painted wood trusses.
