Constructing Rocks

by alancollins - last update: Jun 17, 2008

Lin has had a recent project of making imitation rocks from sand and cement. She made them because it would have required a crane to lift a rock of that size into the garden.
The project is not quite finished and there may be some pumped water into the pond in the future.
The imitation rock is 2 metres in height and weighs about 1500kgs. The sand and cement was all mixed by hand.
The rocks will eventually form part a Japanese Garden.
This photo gives you some idea of the height next to the fence panel.

Hi Alan, thank you so much for the birthday greetings. I thought I'd be able to thank you sooner but the internet in the house in Kuznica where we were staying went dead exactly on that day. But on the whole it was a very enjoyable holiday. Regards, Ewa
