Set in the mountains of Omori, this is used to be a silver mine until forced to close in the 20th century after a few centuries of being in operation. There were many mines but only one is opened to the public. The areas in these mines are very lush too. :)

The capital of the city before Bangkok, this city has dispersed ruin sites. The sites are large scale. I only managed to visit 2 sites only due to such hot weather and lack of time because we were on foot. if you had a vehicle it would be possible to visit them all in one day.

This is a really charming town. It's pretty much still very rustic for a small bustling town: Think of traditional ornate temples and french colonial buildings in the mix. It a shame to not leave without a souvenir from their night markets! :)

This pre-Angkor site is quite a large one, situated on a plain and then onto the slope of a hill. It takes about 1 - 1.5 hours to see the site on leisure. I went during a cooling period in January. I bet it's really hot here in the summer months.

Japan's Hiroshima's the most powerful Unesco site i've ever seen. Unfortunately its fascination stems from a real human tragedy that should not be repeated.
